Kitty United Wins President Barrow Inter-Kabilo Peace Football Tournament

In promoting social cohesion through sports, His Excellency President Adama Barrow sponsored the InterKabilo Peace Football Tournament, contested by 24 teams within Brikama and its surrounding villages of the West Coast Region (WCR).

After days of exciting encounters on the football pitch through the fixtures, teams from Brikama Nema and Kitty played the finals at the Box Bar Mini Stadium this Sunday.

At the end of the passionate and splendid game, Kitty United FC went home with a giant trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of D75,000.00. Runners up, Nema UTD received D50,000.00.

The tournament, initiated by President Barrow, seeks to foster unity, peace and youth engagement through football across communities in the West Coast Region.

The final match was witnessed by Cabinet ministers, the WCR Regional Governor, District Chiefs, Alkalos, members of the Brikama Sports Committee and other sports enthusiasts.
