In an efforts to build administrative and management knowledge and skills of our sport managers, the Ministry of Youth & Sports today bid farewell to 12 sport administrators who are off to China to participate in a two weeks training seminar on High Level Sport Event Management and Management of Sport Facilities to be held at International Economic Cooperation Center of Fujian Province.
The officials traveling to China include staff of the Ministry, The Gambia National Sports Council – NSC and selected sports zones in Kanifing Municipality and Brikama.
The seminar, which is to be held at China, was facilitated by the Ministry through the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to The Gambia.
In his farewell statement, Mr. Abass Bah, Director of the Department of Youth and Sports, advised the participants to take advantage of the opportunity to build their knowledge with a view to improve their efficiency once they return to the country. In addition to this, 12, a group of 6 people will be departing a week after this group, bringing the number to 18 leaders.
