Police in Brikama have launched an investigation into an assault incident that left two people with serious injuries in the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident occurred at Brikama Garage Junction, where preliminary reports indicate establish the full circumstances surrounding what led to the violent exchange. that two individuals were attacked with a cutlass by a suspect identified as Lamin Sawaneh, a resident of Brikama. The suspect also sustained injuries during the confrontation.
According to police, the incident is being treated as a case of assault causing grievous bodily harm. Investigators are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding what led to the violent exchange.
The injured victims are currently receiving treatment at Ndemban Clinic, while the suspect is under medical care at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital.
Security sources say both the victims and the suspect are under medical observation as police continue their inquiries.
