The Ministry of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Dr Ismaila Ceesay received the Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to The Gambia, His Excellency Luis Domingos Camará de Barros, who presented an official diplomatic letter to the Minister, Hon. Dr. Ismaila Ceesay.
The letter, delivered on behalf of the Minister of Communication of Guinea-Bissau, Dr. Abdurahamane Turé, marks another step in strengthening the long-standing diplomatic relations between Banjul and Bissau.
The engagement underscores the commitment of both countries to deepen cooperation in the areas of mass communication, media development and information exchange as part of broader efforts to enhance regional collaboration.
According to officials, the meeting reflects the shared vision of The Gambia and GuineaBissau in promoting stronger institutional ties and advancing cooperation in the media and communications sector.
The Ministry of Information warmly received the visiting Ambassador and welcomed the continued partnership, describing the engagement as a symbol of enduring friendship, mutual respect and solidarity between the two neighbouring countries.
Both sides expressed optimism that such diplomatic interactions will further strengthen bilateral relations and open new opportunities for collaboration in the information and media space.
