Gambia’s National Stadium Renovated and CAF-Approved

Banjul, The Gambia – May 2025

The Gambian government has successfully completed the renovation of the national multi-sports stadium, now officially approved by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The state-of-the-art facility meets international standards, making it eligible to host continental tournaments, qualifiers, and major athletic events.

This achievement has been widely celebrated by Gambian youth and sports federations, who have long called for upgraded infrastructure. The revamped stadium not only enhances the country’s sporting reputation but also provides a world-class venue for football, athletics, and community events. With improved seating, lighting, and safety features, it is now a source of national pride and a symbol of progress.
