Info Ministry host media briefing on Nawec crisis

The Ministry of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services hosted the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC) at its monthly press conference, where key issues surrounding electricity shortages and ongoing energy interventions across The Gambia were discussed.

NAWEC provided updates on the current power situation and highlighted measures being implemented to strengthen electricity generation, improve energy security, and meet the growing national demand for reliable electricity.

The discussions highlighted government efforts toward expanding energy access and building a more resilient and sustainable power sector for all Gambians.
