Alport Banjul Operations Manager, Mr. Engin Murat, is leading a delegation from Dock Labour Company Gambia Ltd. on a strategic working visit to the Port of Conakry in Guinea.
The visit, which is taking place as part of efforts to strengthen operational efficiency at the Port of Banjul, is focused on observing and learning from best practices at the Conakry port system.
According to a statement, the delegation is being exposed to operational standards, logistics management systems, and productivity models in use at the Guinean port, with the aim of applying relevant lessons back home.
“The visit provides a unique opportunity to observe and experience firsthand the operational standards and best practices being implemented at Conakry,” the statement said.
It added that the insights gained are expected to support improvements in efficiency, productivity, and service delivery at the Port of Banjul.
Alport Banjul said the initiative reflects its broader commitment to continuous improvement and strengthening partnerships within the maritime and logistics sector.
The company noted that such engagements are key to enhancing competitiveness and modernising port operations in The Gambia.
